Aging and sun exposure cause a number of changes to the skin - the skin pigment and thickness become irregular, it looses collagen and forms fine lines, and we develop “age spots” which are actually called solar lentigo and are the fine brown spots you can see scattered throughout his forehead and cheeks. This patient was treated by Dr. Brian Scott with CO2 laser resurfacing (one session) which helps reverse all of the aging and sun damage related changes. You can see how much more uniform his skin pigment looks, most of the solar lentigo are either gone or much lighter, and his skin is now tighter as a result of the increased collagen that forms from the laser!
