Portland Scar Removal*

Dr. Brian Scott is an expert at treating facial scars. This patient developed a keloid which is a raised hyperactive scar that grows far beyond the borders of the original injury. Patients that are genetically predisposed to keloids can develop massive scar growths after minor skin trauma such as scratches, bug bites, or acne. The precise cause isn't known, but they are much more common in people with darker skin. This lovely patient developed a large disfiguring ear keloid after getting her ears pierced. The keloid was removed surgically followed by steroid injections during the healing process to prevent the keloid from growing back.
