About Voluma XC
Voluma XC by Juvéderm is a smooth-gel dermal filler that once injected into the face, restores volume and fullness in large areas such as the cheeks. What to Expect
Before Voluma XC injections, a numbing cream may be applied to the injection sites to minimize the discomfort, but most patients feel very little pain during their treatment. A surgeon or an esthetician will carefully inject Voluma XC into the needed areas of the face in as little as 10 minutes. Patients may return to their normal activities as soon as they feel able, with minimal swelling and tenderness. Patients will see some results right away, but it usually takes about 7 days before the filler settles into the cheeks for the final results. The effects of Voluma XC last up to 2 years, and patients should talk to our plastic surgeon about when to reschedule for continued effects.

Dr. Scott and the entire staff at the Petroff center are incredible at what they do. They take your care and comfort very seriously and I am so glad I took the plunge and decided to make the 4 hour trip to go to him for my chin lipo. People are amazed at my results and they are just beginning. Special mention to my anesthesiologist, I wish I could remember her name. She really calmed my nerves with her presence and called after the procedure to check on me. I even got sent home with some beautiful flowers! Dr. Scott has deleted my biggest insecurity and I only wish I went to him sooner!

Anticipated Results
After Voluma XC, a patient may experience swelling, tenderness, firmness, or the appearance of lumps/bumps in the treatment site. Patients can expect the side effects to last 2 – 4 weeks. For the first 24 hours after a treatment, the patient should refrain from strenuous exercise and avoid excessive exposure to the sun. Some patients may choose to receive a touch-up treatment about 1 month after the initial treatment to obtain desired goals. Results should last for 2 years – after then, additional treatments may be needed.
